Book Week Is Coming. Future You Will Thank You for Reading This Now.

Book Week has a funny way of sneaking up on us every single year.

Every year we tell ourselves we'll be organised. Every year we think we've got plenty of time. Then suddenly your child is standing in the kitchen announcing they need a costume tomorrow, and you're desperately trying to work out whether you've got enough cardboard, glue, patience and emotional strength to create something from scratch.

Let's be honest, most of us don't.

That's why we're talking about Book Week now.

In fact, parents seem to be getting ahead of the game this year. Last week, Book Week costume sales actually overtook Christmas sales for us, which tells us one thing: families are already planning ahead instead of waiting for the last-minute rush.

If you're keen to avoid the late-night superglue situation, here's a simple idea.

Choose a dress-up outfit your child will genuinely love wearing. Think police officer, firefighter, paramedic or tradie.

Then pair it with a book that matches the costume.

That's it.

Book Week sorted.

The best part is these aren't costumes that get worn once for a school parade and then disappear into the back of the cupboard.

They're the outfits that come out again the next afternoon. The ones that get worn on weekends. The ones your child pulls on after school because they're suddenly "on duty" and have important jobs to do around the house.

That's what makes them such a great choice.

You're not just buying something for a single day at school. You're giving your child something that encourages imaginative play, builds confidence and creates plenty of fun long after Book Week is over.

So if you'd like to tick Book Week off your to-do list before the panic sets in, now's the perfect time.

Have a browse through our Book Week favourites and find an outfit your child will love wearing again and again.
